... Dr. B K Das is an international plastic surgeon credentialed by ‘Operation Smile’ USA. He visited India a few times as an invited guest plastic surgeon and did many plastic surgeries in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Guwahati. He was also invited in Ethiopia and China as a Plastic Surgeon. He was also a team member as a plastic surgeon of Operation Smile’s international plastic surgery missions in Bangladesh. Dr. Das is also an international Plastic Surgeon of ‘Smile Asia’ and Rotaplast International. This is the rare honor of Dr. B K Das. He is the only Pediatric Surgeon of Bangladesh to get such a rare honor.

Dr. Bijoy Das is one of the project directors of ‘Smile Train ’ in Bangladesh. Smile Train is the world’s largest cleft-focused organization, with a sustainable and local model of supporting surgery and other forms of essential cleft treatment. Over the last 25+ years, we have supported 2+ million safe cleft surgeries.

More than 12,000 (Twelve Thousand) Cleft babies were treated by Dr. Das and his team members free of charge, with support from mostly Smile Train, as well as Operation Cleft, Operation Smile, Smile Asia, Rotaplast, and the Rotary Club.

He is doing Reconstructive Surgery for Post-burn deformities and congenital anomalies free of cost by the support of BSRM.

He presented many scientific papers in national and international seminars regarding his techniques in India, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand, the USA, Uzbekistan, the UK, Italy, and Japan. He is frequently invited to share his specific techniques with his peers. He also published many scientific papers in national and international journals. He published Bengali articles in daily newspapers. His books are ‘Vascular Anomaly in Children’, Shishu Kishorder Sharirk Truti-Bikrity O Chikitsa (Bangla).

Dr. B K Das devotes himself to correcting the physical deformities of children and adolescents.  To improve the lives of underprivileged children, he founded the Child Health Awareness Foundation (CHAF).  

He was the founder General Secretary of Bangladesh Society for Burn Injuries (BSBI) and is a member of many national and international organizations.

Prof. Dr. B K Das is giving free services to poor cleft patients with the help of international organizations.
